Advice on pharmacies to avoid fake drugs

I know the chance to end up with fake pharmacy drugs is real in Colombia and probably not a huge issue everywhere.

But it only takes the one gamble with a pharmacy for a drug that my life would depend on.

I walked into a Pharmacy already and they pulled out Doxycycline for me and easy to get without needing a prescription here. Really common drug for many uses.

But in my case i want to have it for an eventual trip to Africa.
Malaria prevention and Malaria treatment if it comes to it.
I can get it in Africa but i already know the fake drug risk is much higher there with all the poorly regulated chinese and Indian marketing there.

Also i can get it in USA but possibly not without having to trade in a kidney for a prescription and 6 month supply.

Any recomemdations for Colombia Pharmacies i can rely on to validate all their stock honestly?

I am in Popayan and will also be in Cali for a few days before i leave Colombia.
EXITO super grocery has a pharmacy in the front and that being a big name chain store, has me leaning to that pharmacy.

Still not sure and don’t want to gamble when it comes to being in places for the worst Malaria risks.
