Exact date to apply for resident visa

Hello,
I have been living in Colombia for almost 3 years on a Tp-10 marriage visa which will expire on June 13 th. At that point I am planning on applying for a permanent resident visa. My question is about the best timing to do this, as one of the requirements to obtain such a visa is that one has lived in Colombia for at least 3 years prior on another type of visa.
So my question is: Should I travel to Bogota and apply exactly on June 13 th, the last day my current visa is valid? Or rather the next day when the 3 years are actually over?
My gut feeling would be to do it a few days earlier than the expiration date in case of unforeseen complications, but I remeber posts on this forum in which people said they had been denied by migración when applying before the 3 years were exactly up.
I would really appreciate any input, especially from people who have gone through this same procedure.
I am aware I could just call Bogota and ask them myself. However their call center has given me false information before and I would rather trust advice from someone who has successfully gone through this process.
