Hello,

I'm a UK citizen who is planning to leave the UK to start a new life in the near future. Top of my list is Colombia and I am planning a exploratory visit to the country in about two weeks time.

I'd like to meet with immigration specialists who can advise me on possible strategies for immigration. As well as immigration I'd also like to speak with someone knowledgeable about starting a business in Colombia, do's and don'ts, tax planning etc.

I have read this forum over the last few weeks, albeit not thoroughly, hoping I could find some recommendations ..... but no joy for me.

Possible to have some recommendations? My only other option is google. For what is possibly a huge upheaval n life I'd like to have something more than google. Also anyone I should avoid? Maybe a better idea to pm the ones to avoid.

I don't speak any Spanish so will also be investigating language schools. I think I'm clued up on this for Medellin but in Cali the only place I'm finding is Lingua Viva. Do any of the universities in Cali offer something similar to what Eafit do in Medellin?

Any tips on what else I should be getting up to on an exploratory trip?

This will be a short trip, 2 weeks to 3 weeks at most. Planning to visit Cali and Medellin for sure and possibly Bogota. If I like what I see I hope to be back in the autumn for a much longer stay.
