Buying houses in Colombia

If you bought something here in Colombia, in April 2018....you are down 28% on paper right now referencing the U.S. dollar. If you love love your place and plan to NEVER need to liquidate here in Colombia....okay....then who cares about this devaluation? But I don't like the idea myself.

I have no perception of what moves currencies....if I make a prediction based on fundamentals count me as always wrong. The technicals is a different story. I know more than than a little about them. And right now Latin currencies are acting like death. Mex,Ar,Col included. If I was interested in a property I would learn all I could about the area and other variables, and then go sit on my hands until the these currencies at least slow down their deterioration. And in reality....enjoy the deterioration.
