Visa options for early retiree

Hello all!

My wife and I are planning for an "early" retirement (me at 60, she at 57).
In order to do that, we are going to have to relocated abroad to get away from the high cost of living in the US (and particularly the SF Bay area).

Colombia is on our list of possible landing spots and I need to get some clarity on what our visa options will be. At age 60 and 57, we will not be able to tap into our Social Security benefits (we plan to live off savings/investments until I reach 62) at the time of our retirement (assuming Congress doesn't raise the retirement age). We don't have any corporate or other government pensions, so it doesn't look like we will be able to qualify for a retirement or rentista visa, even though we will be retired and will not be working any more.

I believe you can get an investment visa, but heard that the real estate property investment must be at least US$200K. I don't think we will be able to afford to tie up that much of our savings up in an illiquid asset. And even if we could, we'd want to live there for at least a year before making such an investment.

Does anyone know if there are any other types of temporary visas we can qualify for based solely on proof of adequate funds in an investment/savings account? Or will we have to wait until I turn 62?
