CDC miscounts flu deaths

The Spanish flu of 1918 originated in Kansas, USA.
It was carried to the world by doughboys of the AEF
El Jefe Wilson, champing at the bit to make a name for himself on the post-war world stage, ignored medical advice to the contrary.
He repeated this war crime in November 1918 when he authorized a massive war bond rally in Philadelphia, again against strong medical advice to cancel the rally(like ST. Louis did)
Cases of flu shot up in one city , not the other.My patriotic great grandmother, whose son was with the AEF was one of those casualties.

Oh yes, the CDC has decided for years that any death related to flu in persons over 65 will not be counted in the death toll.

The rationale seems to be that the elderly are sick and infirm and if younger , and presumably healthier, they would have survived.
And how to determine if the flu or age and health condition were not the real cause of death. But it smacks of "the elderly are expendable"
