Colombia to Costa Rica flight..dec 16th

Update...
On Dec 16 I flew from Bogotá, Colombia to San Jose, Costa Rica on Avianca 196. The flights are on Mon, Wed, Fri, and Sun. Plane was about 35-40% full. About half of the airport was not utilized. The international check in was at the domestic counters.
Before the flight...
1 Health insurance to meet covid requirements... Trawickinternational.com...set trip cost to zero...for 90 days coverage...$65....a great deal....was accepted by Costa Rica.
2 goto www.salud.go.cr....fill out survey...upload insurance....48 hours before flight....will download to your phone a barcode to be shown at check-in/boarding.
3 since Colombia origination... had to show proof of yellow fever vaccine.
4 negative covid test...NOT required
5 to leave Colombia...must fill out "check mig" survey online via
https://apps.migracioncolombia.gov.co/pre-registro/public/preregistro.jsf.
I did not know this....was informed at airport.

At airport...
Only travelers permitted entrance to airport.
Show itinerary and passport at entrance.
Inside entrance door was questioned about health.
Had to apply gel.
Was scanned by a machine for temperature.
Given approval to enter.
Almost no lines due to few travelers.
Quick check-in...normal procedures...desk staff had to verify that negative test not required....all good.
Go to immigration line...short line... I was informed I had to fill out check mig survey...did that in 5 minutes...(there was a space to put profession...it was stuck on "minor"... So I just left it.. went un-noticed)...rest of immigration process normal.
Go to security...normal process
Go to gate area...there were plenty of coffee, snack, food, etc stores open.
Mask use required. Had read to expect a double layer mask requirement...no one had a double mask on.

Boarding...
Show passport
Show yellow fever booklet
Show barcode from salud.go.cr
Show Boarding pass

Flight...
No food or bev service.
Bathroom open
Mask use required
De-boarding, no free for all which was actually nice, rows were called out to indicate it was your turn to get up.

Arrival...
Almost no lines again.
Immigration...normal...with three exceptions...
1 The barcode from salud.go.cr was scanned upon getting in line at immigration in Costa Rica. When it is scanned by the staff...the staff person gets a green colored barcode in response if all is good.
I got the green. I saw a couple people that did not...they were pulled out of line to go verify their health insurance.
2 I asked for 90 day stamp...she gave me 89 with a wink and said not to worry. I am not sure if they aren't allowed to give 90, or, if she quickly calculated my departure date of march 14 to be 89, which it is.
3 Also I was asked where I was lodging and if I planned to stay the entire time in that place... I said where I was to stay at beginning of trip...but said I was unsure where else I may stay or when I may change...don't know why they ask because my answer was not a problem.
Picked up my checked bag... pass through the rudimentary security...out the door.

I was never asked to show proof a return/exit flight...but you should expect it.
