Importing Pets (Cv19 changes everything again)

Yes, I know there have been threads about pets and I should use the search function. That would make sense if any of the older posts were remotely relevant.

All US airlines have just embargoed the transpo of pets until further notice.

Forget the “Emotional Support Animal” trick. The airlines no longer recognize them. Somebody overshot the runway (see what I did there?).

Unfortunately, it’s way close to our takeoff date (4/1) and we have a true nightmare scenario.

Most shippers want 45 days notice and $12K, which is insane.

The lowest, by far, was $5K.

Except for AA Animals Live Cargo, which is a little over $1000. Wait. What? How can they be flying pets? I can’t begin to understand it.

But, it would still require finding ground transpo to get her to ATL, about 3 hours away.

We have no answers.
