other than for home defense or target practice.

The Metropolitan Police of Cali captured a person who was observed by security cameras threatening two people who refused to wait at a blockade point for protesters on May 9 in the south of the city, in the framework of the protests for the national strike.

The event happened on the Pan-American Highway. According to the authorities, the man intimidated the people with a firearm, while a companion vandalized the motorcycle on which they were traveling.

"These events became viral on social networks, as well as another video where the man captured today claims to be the leader of a workers' union in Valle del Cauca," the police said in a statement.

The search of the home of the captured man, located in the Bochalema neighborhood - south of Cali - was carried out by units of the Police Judicial Investigation Section, in coordination with the Attorney General's Office.

In these processes, a traumatic pistol, two magazines, four USB memory sticks, three computers, three cell phones, a video camera and a motorcycle were seized.

The captured man was left at the disposal of the 36th sectional Prosecutor's Office in Cali for the crimes of threats, disturbance in the collective of the official public transport service, obstruction of public roads that affect public order and illegal use of a weapon.
