Covid tests

I’m not trying to convince anyone of anything here, just sharing my experience.

I have traveled both nationally and internationally several times and I never had a real Covid test. I flew back to Colombia recently and figured I would get one just to see since I wore a mask NEVER from the moment I walked out of the airport until the day I flew back.

I lived a pretty normal life in the states for about a month I dined out, drank a ton of beer (even shared glasses with family and friends at a few breweries), went shopping, attended a county fair, etc.

My test came back positive of course even though I never had any symptoms. Unfortunately the results didn’t come back until after I landed in Colombia. So I figured I would go get another since I still didn’t feel any symptoms., and didn’t want to ring the alarm bell too soon. To my surprise it came back negative so I thought I should check one more time (2 out of 3) and that also came back negative.

Either I recovered in record time (I am stud) or these tests are not very good at detecting Covid. My sister is not a marine biologist or anything but i doubt the accuracy of these so called tests. i am sure my “positive” test was included in some daily case rate. So I wonder how inflated these numbers really are.

I do believe there are some people who really do get sick and need hospitalization but I also believe (even more so now) this whole thing is a sham.

Again I’m not trying to change anyone’s opinion on the matter just sharing my experience and stirring the pot.
