Hongos

Hola a todos. Long story short, I believe I got lied to, and so I rented an apartment that had some hongos (mushrooms, fungus) on the walls. The seller told me that the problem was only that the place had been vacant for a while, so I had her patch all of the visible honogos with a concrete sealant, and then repaint. However, now that the winter rains have begun, there are more. Some off-whitish ones are growing on the walls. There are also some blackish patches and discoloration all over the inside ceiling in one room, and in some places in other rooms.

My best guess is that the landlady knew all about this, and said nothing (even though I asked). Now I can see that there is brickwork where the hongos were growing out of the brick, and also out of the mortar, where they just painted over it (without even scraping, let alone sealing).

To me the landlady has not been honest. What are my realistic options?

Also, are the hongos a health danger? Or are they just a (big) nuisance?
