Starting my planning for the move to Medellin

Hi, I'm Paul, retired EE currently in Florida, US. I'm trying to get prepared to move to Medellin, Co for the max tourist visa time which I understand to be 6 months with just a passport.

I will need to bring my 3 cats. I believe that they have animal quarantine rules that I need to review. I have a good retirement income and won't need employment there.

I am an American softie though haha. I know a couple of Colombians in Medellin and they somehow get through life without air conditioning and heating and for most of their lives, even hot water.... this is not me, so I probably need help finding the right locale within Medellin to set up.

I would also be interested in the options for purchasing or leasing a small car, and the insurance issues. Speaking of insurance... how does health insurance work there?

And taxes... Uff
