Foreign Pension

I’m looking for information about taxes on foreign pensions. It was mentioned here that $8900/month would not be taxed. I’m looking for something official on the topic.
I found this, it might be out of date, it works out to no tax on a little over $2000 on pensions, doesn’t specify local or foreign so I’m still unsure of the facts.
