Not a frequent flyer?

I do not travel much nowadays so I am not very up to date of the current travel rules - so, just in case I am not alone…….

A couple of years ago my expensive Delsey suitcase was checked at Bogota on the way to London only to find it riddled by a number of holes drilled around the corners. The contents were seriously damaged by the rain that had permeated through the holes while stored outside but the staff were not sympathetic, stating ¨next time get a suitcase that is TSA approved and uses a TSA lock. ¨

Message received, we replaced it with the recommended security attributes.

On to this weekend where my son, on a visit to dad (me) confesses he has overdone his shopping and will need a 2nd suitcase – no problem, our yesteryear suitcase comes out to the rescue.

Today son confirms safe arrival in London and voices the good luck about using our suitcase as it was opened at Bogota as proven by the ¨Thank You Note¨ from TSA tucked away inside. Apparently, without the TSA Universal Lock process it would have had any other lock sawn off.

Conclusion: Beware the TSA Security Checks if you are not a frequent flyer like me.
