About dogs

I know that some people on this forum have dogs.
One of our French Canadian friends posted this on Facebook asking people to share this information in order to save dog's lives.
Here it is:
Dog poisoned by diffuser
Saturday night I got home late and my dog didn't recognize me. Being a nanny I thought I woke him up and he had night terror. On Sunday he was still acting funny. I realized I had my new diffuser run and decided to shut it down. Sunday afternoon he felt better
Today at work my dog sitter said he wouldn't get out of bed. This was very strange because he is a happy dog.
Came from work early and again he was very confused as to who I was.
So I took him to an emergency vet.
Turns out the tea tree oil I used in the diffuser is toxic to dogs. Thankfully the test showed his liver was fine but we weren't out of the woods yet. He was given fluids under the skin to remove toxins.
The vet and the fight against poison say they see these cases often now that the popularity of essential oils is increasing.
Make sure the essential oils you burn are not toxic to your pets.
Here is the list of essential oils not to use if you have a dog at home

Thinking about airing the rooms at least 20 minutes before going to bed if we put it in the bedroom.
If used on your own: we mix 1 drop of essential oil in 5 drops of vegetable oil (coconut oil, olive oil etc) and for children from 6 years old we mix 1 Essential oil drop in 10 drops of vegetable oil.
