Relocation Questions

Next week I have to meet with a gentleman I used to work with about a position. It is a large company and he has reached out to me to see if I would run his call center in Guatemala City.

I like to know things before I jump in so am doing as much research as possible. He said they would provide a house and a driver, plus the standard salary for the position in America.

I have 3 kids but my daughter will be a senior, so she will only be down for the summer. We were planning on moving at the end of the school year anyway, as I am not working and we want to get out of the Midwest.

1. How expensive is school for an 8th grader and a 9th grader?
2. My wife is slightly disabled, she had a strike during a car accident 20 years ago. She can do stairs and everything? Will it be hard for her?
3. My oldest son is a talented basketball player and loves playing, are there school or club teams there?
4. How safe is it? Every person says something different, so I am slightly confused.
5. General thoughts and other information appreciated.

My wife and I had hoped to retire in Central America someday. This job would be for two years. So it would be a way for us to make money and see if we really want to retire there.

Thanks in advance.
