"The cost of living in Rio Dulce is considered to be relatively low compared to many Western countries. Rent for a one-bedroom apartment in the city center is affordable, while outside the city center, it is even cheaper. The cost of utilities such as electricity, heating, cooling, water, and garbage is also quite low. When it comes to groceries, local markets offer fresh produce, meat, and other goods at reasonable prices. Eating out at an inexpensive restaurant is also quite affordable. Transportation costs, including public buses and taxis, are relatively cheap as well. Healthcare in Rio Dulce is less expensive than in many Western countries, but the quality of care can vary. Private health insurance is recommended for expats or long-term visitors. Overall, while salaries and wages in Rio Dulce are typically lower than in Western countries, the lower cost of living can make it an affordable place to live. However, it's important to note that costs can vary depending on lifestyle and personal spending habits," said one expat in Rio Dulce.
