Will I need to travel to see a specialist?

Answer this Question

When we asked members in Guadalajara if they typically need to travel to see specialists, they replied...

"Yes, Guadalajara is known for having a wide range of medical specialists, including oncologists, cardiologists, neurologists, gynecologists, and dermatologists. For highly specialized medical care, people generally go to the Instituto Mexicano del Seguro Social (IMSS) hospital, which is the largest public hospital in the city. Additionally, the Hospital Civil has a medical center for complex medical procedures and treatments. The city also has several private hospitals, such as San Javier, Otay, and La Asuncion. Additionally, the Clinica Las Palmas offers complex medical care and alternative treatments, such as homeopathy and nutrition therapy," wrote a member who made the move to Guadalajara, Mexico.
