As a foreigner living in Singapore, will I have access to public healthcare? What is it like?

Answer this Question

We asked expats in Singapore if they have access to public healthcare in Singapore. And, if they do have access, what is it like. They wrote...

"As a foreigner living in Singapore, you will have access to public healthcare, but you may not be eligible for the same subsidies as Singaporean citizens or permanent residents. Singapore's public healthcare system is known for its high quality and efficiency, with well-equipped hospitals and clinics. However, you may experience longer waiting times compared to private healthcare facilities. It is recommended that you obtain a comprehensive health insurance plan to help cover the costs of medical treatments and consultations in public healthcare facilities," explained one expat living in Singapore, Singapore.
