What have your experiences during the pandemic with the local healthcare system been like?
When we asked expats and global nomads in Guayaquil about their experiences during the pandemic with the local healthcare system, they replied...
"The pandemic has had a major impact on the healthcare system in Guayaquil. The city has been particularly hard hit by the virus, with hospitals and clinics overwhelmed by the influx of patients. Many of the city's healthcare workers have been working long hours and under immense pressure to provide care to those in need. The government has implemented a number of measures to try to alleviate the strain on the healthcare system, including providing additional resources and personnel to hospitals and clinics. Despite these efforts, the healthcare system in Guayaquil is still struggling to cope with the pandemic," remarked another expat who made the move to Guayaquil, Ecuador.
