Singapore is a highly diverse country, with a population made up of people from a variety of ethnic backgrounds, including Chinese, Malay, Indian, and Eurasian. Singaporeans are generally accepting of differences and celebrate the diversity of their culture. The government has also taken steps to promote racial and religious harmony, such as through the Racial and Religious Harmony Act, which seeks to protect the rights of all citizens regardless of their race or religion.
