What have been the most challenging aspects of being retired abroad?

One of the most challenging aspects of retiring in Da Nang is the language barrier. Although English is becoming more widely spoken, many locals still do not speak it, making it difficult to communicate with them. Additionally, the cost of living in Da Nang is relatively high compared to other parts of Vietnam, making it difficult to live on a fixed income. Furthermore, the healthcare system in Da Nang is not as advanced as in other countries, making it difficult to access quality medical care. Finally, the cultural differences between Vietnam and other countries can be difficult to adjust to, making it difficult to feel at home in Da Nang.
