Traveling to Spain

Going back to Spain in October but this time bringing a computer so I can leave home without leaving my business. I know that on the CPU all I have to do is plug the new plug in and switch the little 110/220v switch in the back and voila.... but I just bought a new LCD monitor. On the back it says 100-120v/220-240v 50/60Hz but there is no switch. I dont want to fry my new monitor but after pluging it in to a 220v outlet, will it automatically convert?

Also, this computer I just bought just put me back about 3500 bucks + tax. Because of the work I do, I couldn't get a laptop =( but am I going to have to pay some kind of VAT tax or Import tax to bring it over? I will eventually be bringing it back with me to the US.

Thanks in advance.
Galen
