The cost of living in Oxford can be quite high, particularly when it comes to housing, so it's essential to budget accordingly. The city offers a mix of modern and historic housing options, with many people choosing to live in surrounding villages and commute to the city center. Public transportation in Oxford is reliable and efficient, with buses and trains connecting the city to other parts of the UK. Cycling is also a popular mode of transportation, so consider investing in a bike to get around the city. Oxford has a diverse population, with many international students and expats living in the city. This means that there are plenty of opportunities to meet new people and make friends from all over the world. The city also offers a wide range of clubs, societies, and events to help you integrate into the local community. The healthcare system in the UK is publicly funded through the National Health Service (NHS), which provides free healthcare to all residents. Expats moving to Oxford should register with a local GP (General Practitioner) to access healthcare services. The education system in Oxford is renowned for its high-quality schools and universities, including the world-famous University of Oxford.
