Grocery prices in York are reasonable, with a variety of supermarkets and local markets offering competitive prices. Eating out at restaurants can range from budget-friendly options to more expensive fine dining establishments. Public transportation is available and affordable, with options including buses and trains. Utilities, such as electricity, heating, and water, are generally affordable, although they can vary depending on the size of the property and usage. Internet and mobile phone plans are also reasonably priced. Entertainment and leisure activities in York can cater to a range of budgets, with options such as museums, theatres, and cinemas, as well as outdoor activities like walking and cycling. Overall, the cost of living in York is manageable, offering a good quality of life for residents," remarked one expat in York.
