Fourthly, you should decide where you want to give birth. In Belgium, you can choose to give birth in a hospital, a birthing centre, or at home. Fifthly, you should be aware that postnatal care is taken very seriously in Belgium. After the birth, a nurse will likely visit your home to check on the health of both the mother and the baby. Lastly, you should familiarize yourself with the parental leave policies in Belgium. Both parents are entitled to take time off work after the birth of a child.
