"It is important to respect local customs when visiting new places, and this is especially true when visiting Guadalajara. One should avoid making negative comments about Mexican traditions, culture, or people. In terms of public behavior, visitors should be aware of modest dress codes and should avoid making loud noises in public spaces. Additionally, visitors should also be aware that nudity and public displays of affection are generally seen as inappropriate in this region. It is also important to be aware of the religious customs in Guadalajara, as well as the correct use of local language or slang. Finally, it is important to be aware of the need for careful waste management and environmental preservation," said another expat in Guadalajara, Mexico.

"I ordered 1.1 lbs of american cheese, not understanding the difference between a kilo and a pound when we first arrived. We ate cheese for a month," wrote a member who made the move to Guadalajara, Mexico.
