Will I save money living in Ho Chi Minh City?

Answer this Question

We asked expats if they save money living in Ho Chi Minh City. They said...

"Living in Ho Chi Minh City can be significantly cheaper than living in the United States. The cost of living in Vietnam is much lower than in the US, with rent, food, and transportation being significantly cheaper. Additionally, the cost of entertainment and leisure activities is also much lower in Vietnam than in the US. As a result, living in Ho Chi Minh City can be a great way to save money," remarked another expat who made the move to Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

"Exceeded them. I live on half of my retirement income and I live very well. It is possible for a married couple to live well on $1,200 per month," explained one expat living in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam.
