Describe your group.
IWCD is a social club for international women to build a network within Dublin. It is open to women of every nationality looking to meet new friends, socialize and take part in the many activities we organise. The club has over 280 members, consisting of 47+ nationalities.
What is unique about your organization?
We are an upbeat club with numerous activities on offer each month for women. Although the club was formed 29 years ago, it remains a successful organisation. We utilise the skills and experiences that our members bring from each corner of the world.
What kind of activities does your group sponsor?
We run tours in and around Dublin every month. We also have activities which may be cultural, a hobby, a sport...something to experience! As we are based around Dublin County, we have local neighbourhood groups which meet monthly, providing a local support network. Additionally we have regular activities that meet on a weekly/monthly basis including choir. tennis, golf, yoga, bridge, language groups and a moms and tots/babies group.
Each year we also vote on an Irish charity and raise money through a variety of activities which change on an annual basis.
How often does your group meet?
Once a month for the Monthly Meeting where signups occur and we usually have a guest speaker. There are also numerous opportunities to meet each week depending on interests.
Is there a membership fee?
yes - currently a joining fee of 100 euro. A member who is renewing pays 90 euro.
Approximately how many members does this organization have?
Over 280 members. this number fluctuates on a yearly basis as a large percentage of members are in Ireland on a 3-4 year contract.
Is this organization specific to nationality? If yes, which nationality/ies. If no, what nationalities are represented in the membership?
No, women must be foreigners, or if they are Irish, must recently have returned from a number of years abroad.
What language(s) do member speak?
IWCD is an English speaking club, however we have many nationalities, and non-English speakers will often have a chance go meet women who speak their own or other languages.

25years - 90 years (predominately 25-65)
