Recommendations in Panama City's Casco Viejo area

Thanks to everyone who's given good suggestions. We would like to spend our final two nites in Panama City. I understand Casco Viejo is a World Heritage site. I'm afraid we won't be able to find moderately priced accommodations. Any recommendations from those of you familiar with this part of the city? Or, is there another area close by where lodging would be less expensive but we could still visit Casco Viejo? Or, if you are able to recommend another part of the city you find exciting and fund please give suggestions. Can you also tell me how far it is to Tocumen from the City?
