Playa Blanca Violence

Request sent to be posted........................................

As you may have heard, NHN is investigating a violent home invasion at Napa Village in Playa Blanca.

Yesterday morning, a half-dozen armed attackers broke into a gringo family's home in Los Margaritas - near the highway, on the road to El Valle.

Grandchildren were terrorized. Guard dogs/family pets were killed by poison. A watchman was hurt, and the owner was pistol whipped... they were then robbed at gunpoint.

This is terrorism - plain and simple, and something must be done - NOW.

An urgent message has been sent to the Attorney General, the Special Prosecutor in San Carlos, The Director of Tourism - Salo Shamah and his Vice Minister Ernesto Orillac.

THIS IS THE THIRD VIOLENT HOME INVASION AGAINST FOREIGNERS IN THE PAST TWO MONTHS.

All residents of the interior are urged to attend the NHN Community Safety meeting at the previous home invasion location - Napa Village in Playa Blanca

Sunday September 22nd - 12 noon - 2 PM

Tell the security gate you are coming to see #54 Napa Village - if you have a folding chair and/or an umbrella, I suggest you bring it - this turnout is expected to be huge.
Drive straight after the security gate towards the Town Center - go around the round-about and go to the left - along side the huge pool and look for the Napa Village sign.
Park on the street or at the Lagoon and walk over.

The Attorney General and the media were already invited to attend the meeting - even before yesterday's attack. The media has indicated they will be sending camera crews and photographers.
Speakers will include an attorney - Yasser (Alexis) Williams who will explain our legal rights in Panama, an insurance expert to discuss home/property insurance, Carlos Espino who will discuss "How to Report a crime in Coclé" (yes - we are under a different legal system than Panama Province) and Rob Brown to discuss the status of the NHN HOTLINE and the investigation into the San Carlos, Playa Blanca and now Los Margaritas cases.

Bring your friends, your neighbors - anyone you can - we need to show the media, the Attorney General and these vicious punks that we mean business.

Rob Brown - Founder, Neighbors Helping Neighbors (NHN)
