My first day in Alto Boquete - so much to do

Received the keys to our house and we stepped across the thresh bold to a new chapter in our life.

Before I continue, I've asked for help several times on this forum and received excellent advise, especially from Boquete Girl... need to meet her some day.

Now to the present... I will be here for 2 weeks, need to get the place ready to rent until I return in October or November. I need help/advise on:

1. Internet/TV... the place has/had Sky TV, not sure if it works yet but there is an ugly satellite dish on next to the canyon wall. I don't necessarily need a cable service, just trying to figure out what most U.S. expats are using..

Internet - It has Cable Onda I'm told. Can't find a modem but I see a small dish attached to the roof. There is a password protected wireless router that I plugged a wire into. Can't get wireless but did get an internet speed of 1 MBPS via the wire. If there is a modem, I can't find it... anyway, suggestions to get something more in the 20 MBPS range?

2. Gonna need some second hand stuff.. no need to buy new at this time. Furniture/furnishing, a ladder etc... suggestions? On my way to David today to shop at the Costco like and Target like...

3. How does the garbage service operate?

4. Where do folks go for hardware supplies?..Paint, lighting accessories, etc

more later as things come to mind... on my way this morning to the bank and the insurance company to set up accounts...

Isn't this place GREAT!!!
