This community often organizes social events, making it easy for newcomers to make friends and feel at home. The locals are also very welcoming and friendly, adding to the sense of community. Cultural attractions in and around Vilcabamba include the historic town of Loja, which is just a short drive away. Loja is one of the oldest cities in Ecuador and is known for its colonial architecture and vibrant arts scene.
