The city also hosts various cultural events and festivals throughout the year, providing ample opportunities for socializing and entertainment. Kortrijk is also known for its beautiful parks and gardens, such as the King Albert Park and the Botanical Garden, which are perfect for leisurely walks or picnics. The city is surrounded by the scenic beauty of the Leie River, offering opportunities for boating and fishing. For those who enjoy sports, there are several golf courses and cycling routes in and around the city. While Kortrijk may not have a bustling nightlife like some larger cities, it does have a fair share of cozy cafes, gourmet restaurants, and traditional Belgian pubs.
