Where will I buy groceries and do other shopping in Playa del Carmen?
When we asked people living in Playa del Carmen about good local restaurants, they mentioned...
"Playa del Carmen is a popular destination for expats, and there are plenty of places to buy groceries and do other shopping. One of the most popular places to shop is the Centro Maya Mall, which has a variety of stores, including a large grocery store. There is also the Plaza Las Americas, which is a large shopping center with a variety of stores, including a grocery store. For more local shopping, there are several markets, such as the Mercado Municipal, which is a large outdoor market with a variety of fresh produce, meats, and other items. Additionally, there are several smaller grocery stores throughout the city, such as the Super Aki and the Super Chedraui. Finally, there are several convenience stores, such as Oxxo, which offer a variety of items, including snacks and drinks," wrote a member who made the move to Playa del Carmen, Mexico.
