Dengue Fever

Hi, I visit for a month every year with my husband we have property in Clarendon and my question is there a immunization for Dengue fever? There is none in Canada and I was told you have to had Dengue before you can be immunized, which to me doesn't make sense?
Any info would help as I am a mosquito magnet even deep woods don't keep them from me.
Also any idea on costs for non residents?

There isn't any vaccination for dengue fever if that's what you mean. That's why it's so common in the Caribbean and Latin America. All you can do it take precautions to keep mosquitoes at bay (repellant, nets at night etc.)
