I retire in May of 2021

6 years ago
Goodmorning! ....... Pana...ma!;
Yes , I do miss Robin Williams.
___
SO, I have done so much research on retiring in Panama the key's on my laptop are starting to loose the letters.
I retire in May of 2021 and am currently planning as a first stop, a driving adventure to the Chiriquí Province volcan area, in Panama.

Hopefully, I will visit once a year, Over the next three years.
This is what I will be looking;
1st of coarse I will rent for a time to get to know the area.
I would like one day to purchase a home with some acreage. I am looking for a small 700sq foot house. Give or take a little. With a back yard view of the mountains. In a small town that speaks very little English, if any at all.
Electricity is optional, as I have been used to living off grid here in the states.
Not to be too demanding, my hope is to have a couple riding horses with chickens running free range. I really love to ride and am hoping to spend a great deal of time in the saddle.
This is basically is the way I lived here in the States for good number of years. Although the house was much bigger here. Much to much to clean for a single parent. This is why I am hopping for a small, one possibly two room house when, I retire.
Spending time in remote areas of the world that speak little to no English has always thrilled me. Don't know why, it just has.
So am I barking up the wrong tree with Panama? Or should I make plans to visit over the next three years. Oh! I should mention that I am semi-retired now and only work some six months a year.
