What do I need to know before moving to Liguria?

When we asked people what advice they would give someone preparing to move to Liguria, they said:

"Liguria is a beautiful region in Italy, located on the Mediterranean Sea. It is known for its stunning coastline, picturesque villages, and delicious cuisine. Before moving to Liguria, expats should be aware that the region is quite mountainous, and the climate can be quite humid in the summer months. Additionally, the cost of living in Liguria is higher than in other parts of Italy, so expats should plan accordingly. It is also important to note that the local language is Italian, so expats should make an effort to learn the language before moving to the region. Finally, expats should be aware that the region is quite rural, so it may take some time to adjust to the slower pace of life," said one expat in Liguria.
