The city's compact size makes it easy to navigate on foot or by bike, and its proximity to stunning natural landscapes, such as the Wild Atlantic Way and the Ring of Kerry, offers plenty of opportunities for outdoor activities and weekend getaways. On the other hand, expats and digital nomads may dislike the unpredictable and often rainy weather in Cork, which can make it challenging to plan outdoor activities. The public transportation system is not as extensive or reliable as in other European cities, which can be frustrating for those without a car. Additionally, the job market can be competitive, particularly for non-EU citizens, and the process of finding accommodation can be difficult due to high demand and limited supply.
