Fighting Boredom in Frankfurt

Hey everybody. I am an American who has been living and working in Frankfurt for the past year. I just recently got married in the U.S., and my wife moved back to Frankfurt (Nordend) with me.

We have been together in Frankfurt now for about 3 weeks, and my wife is already starting to get a little bored. See....I work all day and she doesn't have a job here. She is hoping to pick up some of the German language and we are looking into some schools. Does anybody have a good idea on which schools would be better for German lessons?

What about other things to do during the day....besides all day-every day shopping in Zeil. She keeps asking me where all the American and British expats hang out. I don't really have a clue...seeing that in the years time here in Frankfurt before my wife came, I spent most of my time at work and with my work colleagues. So...where do all you college age American and British expats hang out? What do you all do for fun during the week and the weekends.

If you would like, you can e-mail me at:

Thanks a lot everybody!
