Retiring to Balatonfured

Yes, we are finally doing it! My wife and I purchased a beautiful home in Balatonfured and are planning to move to there in August. My wife is originally from Russian and I am retiredfrom both the US military and civil service so we both are well versed in living abroad. I also (fortunately) speak German passably having lived in Germany 6 years (although rusty afetr many years). Everything in Balatonfured seems excellent and the house purchased without any large issues. I am getting ready to start setting up the internet and television prior to our arrival. Can anyone please let me know what is the best way to get the most english speaking channels and what company I need to contact? I am assuming it will all be in PAL but I have purchased an PAL to NTSC digital converter as we have a very large digital LCD which I am loathe to part with. I am assuming it will be a satellite system but can use some advice on the best service to subscribe to. I also have a second question. We recently sold our 2007 Acura TL and purchased a Toyota Prius so bring over. I learned that the costs were exhorbatant for the Acura as it is a large 6 cylinder high horsepower engined car and the registration fee would have been around $20,000. The Prius being a hybrid has an engine of 1.4 liters so is a lot less expensive to register. However, does anyone have experience getting local GPS software to update the car navigation system? The Prius is identical to that sold in Europe but $20,000 less in the US. We are also bringing over 220v appliances including a large "American" refrigerator. Any other advice from members of the group would be very helpful. We are looking forward to our retirement in Hungary.
