spuld I go for it and start I new life south of the border ?

Hi my names Jeff. I live in the states and have been looking into starting a new life. A few years ago I though about mexico. The whole cowboy runs south of the border thing sounded exciting. I was fascinated or maybe even obsessed. I spend a few hours a day reading and watching videos and everything I found made me what to pull the trigger. But I was scared. I new country with new rules and a whole new set of challenges. I then decided that not only did I not have the money to do that but maybe it was just a faze. So then I moved to another state for a oil field Job. O was excited to start a new life just to find out that its not much different than where I was from and with this new job I do not have the time to meet people and really start and new life. The job pays well but takes too much from my life and now I'm back to wondering what would life be like south of the border. Now I'm not looking for a Hollywood life style but I would like to live more laid back and really enjoy life. I'd like to here how things have went for others. I hear a lot about older people retiring there but not young people moving there. O ya I'm 23. I'm looking for opinions and experiences, Things that maybe you did not think about before you got there. I don't have my mind made up being so far from my family would suck but I feel like I'd have a better shot at being happy there. So any input would be great. Questions I have are: how had would it be for a young American to find a job? I have checked out a few city's but where did you go and why? How did you go about meeting people and making friends ? Are there decent gyms there? How are the laws there ? What's cost of living ? And if you will what are the pros and con's of living in mexico over the states or where ever you come from ?
