Hi from a newbie!

Hello! I'm living in Florida, and planning on moving the Jalisco area sometime in late 2017. I'll start out in Guadalajara until I find a permanent place, but I'm looking closely at Cajititlan and that area. Won't have a car, and need decent internet to work online, so I'll have to be in an area that has access to transportation and broadband.

I'll be living on about $1400 a month, so I can't afford Chapala, but Cajititlan looks affordable, with not so many expats or tourists. I want to really immerse myself in the country and the people, but want to be close to the water with a decent climate, so from my research, it fits the bill.

I'm brushing up on my HS Spanish and learning all the legalities of moving. I'll be on visitor's visas for a year, at least, until I see if this life suits me, but I'm pretty laid back and I think it will, as long as I can get a small casita with a small yard so I can garden.

I'm going to read some more threads now and learn. I have a notebook I'm keeping all the info in so I can get everything done before I step my foot across the border. I'll probably be visiting next summer to set things up.

Any advice would be appreciated.
