Help w/housing in Machala

Anybody have any ideas for finding housing in Machala? I'll be there mid-september for 10 months.

I figure I'll stay in a hostel for a week or so, or until I find housing. Anybody know any real estate people there? I'd love to live w/a family, but haven't found *anything* on the net.... thanks!!

Also- is it possible to live on 800 a month on the coast??
