I have several questions related to resident (immigration) visas:
First, does anyone have experience obtaining a real estate investor resident (immigrant) visa (Type 10-II)?
What about a Type 10-V professional resident visa?
If so, is there anything I should know besides the official information on the embassy websites? Any tips, warnings or suggestions to share?
Also, I am trying to decide if there are any disadvantages in applying for a resident visa right away or would it be better for some reason to come in on a volunteer visa for the first 6 months before applying for a resident visa.
Is it easier to obtain a work permit with a resident visa?
And finally, is it worth hiring an attorney to handle or assist with the paperwork?
Of course I will double and triple check any information shared and will share my own information and experience eventually.
