Coastal Ecuador Micro Climate

Greetings,
For about a year I've read the comments on this blog and learned a lot about Ecuador and life in the country, particularly from the regular posters like Boncur, HGQ2112, ILA, Oceanhideaway, Silverwater, Salinasgirl, etc. Thank you very much; invaluable information.
I will be visiting Cuenca and mostly Coastal Ecuador (from Anconcito to Bahia) for e few weeks this November so I'll have first hand experience for a short period of time. It will be a scouting mission before a permanent relocation within the next 3-4 years. However there is an issue where I'd appreciate more specific information on the regional micro climates of the Coast from anyone in the know who lives or has lived in areas from Salinas to Bahia. I believe there was some information on this subject many months ago but unfortunately, I could not retrieve it.
Because of the varying ocean currents, land topography near the coast and possibly other natural or man-made factors, I understand that some areas of this coastal stretch are dryer or more humid than others; have stronger winds than others; are markedly warmer than others; even have more flying or ground insects than others. I will be extremely grateful to anyone who can comment and elaborate with specifics on this subject; I have a skin sensitivity issue and I'd like to know what areas to avoid before I set foot there.
Of course it would be great to meet with as many of you who will be around the Coast at the time. I'll definitely drop in the various restaurants and bars mentioned in this blog and hopefully make this happen Thank you very kindly for all your candid comments and advices.
Blancpur (not to be confused with Boncur!)
