The whole Immigration process can be done from the states now... Its called the Visa Por Cable... Once you get the Aprobada in your email wich means ( appoval) you will have to fly down to Ecuaodor to get finger printed, take your picture, and sign the residency card.. However the same rules apply after you sign and become legal in Ecuador... You are still restricted from traveling outside of Ecuador no more than 30 days at a time the first two years.....
