New York Style Pizza ~ Dolar Pizza in Salinas

Mama Mia --- it's a good slice with real New Yawk red gravy (tomato sauce) and a crust like back home!

Downside is it's pricey and the pies are small -- a small is an individual and a family is a medium ...

But after 6 years --- there's real pizza in Salinas

Marco is the proprietor -- originally from Tawain (hey they gave is spaghetti so work with me here) and his family has lived in Ecuador for 30 years. He went to school in San Diego and his sister and Italian brother in law are in New jersey (yeah there is some Italian by marriage).

A self proclaimed "foody" and a really nice guy -- he'll specially cook recipes from home for you with prior notice. He makes everything fresh -- his sauce, his sausage, his dough -- . And it all gets baked in his brick oven he built himself to specs for pizza baking.
