What may be brought in container?

I have been searching and searching for info on just what we can bring in our container when we move to Ecuador. I even asked at the consulate nearest us, but she didn't know. If any of you know, (or have a link?), it would be MOST appreciated!!

1. May I bring in fabric for home sewing? I've read we can't bring textiles, but is that just for resale?

2. Seeds? Storage foods? Is that acceptable to bring?
