Excellent information on the misinformation about Ecuador

Here is a link to a piece written by Dr. Lee Dubs on all the misinformation being disseminated by people on the various blogs about Ecuador. Lee and wife Carol have lived in Cuenca for over 20 years and are well known as the Carolina Bookstore. Lee teaches Spanish and is well acquainted with the scams and misinformation given to people inquiring about “life in EC”. We moved here last Oct but that was after making 2 trips with the last being 4 months. My wife however, was born in Panama, and I was in Columbia in ‘74. We spent a number of years in Asia, so this is not our first rodeo and we have been amazed at the misinformation about cost of living, visas, crime, and the government.
